I acceptThe Managed Cloud can be a Private Cloud, that is a tool increasingly used and prevailing in the modern world of quick and easy access. But perhaps the one who gains the most advantage from the dedicated cloud are companies.
Before the birth of Private Cloud, companies had to invest in servers and data center to securely store and manage their information. Concerning the space where they are required and the security issues arisingrelated to the architecture of systems, investing in data center is tremendously expensive, slow in deployment and increasingly complicated.
Private Cloud allows them to reduce their costs enormously and make the operation more efficient since they avoid the logistics, salaries, and infrastructure that a data center requires.
But even when all their databases and processes are in the managed cloud, companies need an IT team to manage the remote servers, their operating systems and the programs that manage their information. The administration of this data translates into payroll payments, resources, and man-hours that significantly increase operating costs.
To understand the concept of Managed Cloud OR Dedicated Cloud we must first know how the conventional dedicated cloud works. A company is required to rent the necessary infrastructure to host servers, as well as the applications and tools that run on them.
Customers of this Private Cloud service can access machines according to their needs, but a team of internal engineers is required to manage their operation. In general, the income from this service is relatively low, but to that is added the list of engineers, administrators and other experts that considerably increases the cost of operation.
In this model, the client's IT staff must worry about managing the databases, establishing a disaster recovery program, presenting reports and implementing the appropriate architecture to meet the company's needs.
Now, with the Private Cloud, companies can rent remote servers whose capacity and quantity expand and cut according to their temporary needs.
In the Managed Cloud, the client forgets all of the above and lets expert service providers take care of the administration and carry out tasks such as the implementation of the architecture, the operation, the monitoring and the creation of reports. As well as performing performance adjustments, make backups and implement a disaster recovery plan.
In this Private Cloud model, if the client finds a problem, he only has to pick up the phone and an expert will be attending the situation immediately, if not the solution is already implemented and managed before the client speaks with a representative.
Undoubtedly, the future of information technology is in the Private Cloud and its presence will only grow in a world increasingly dependent on databases, complex disorganized information and a growing need for processing and administration.
The Private Cloud administered is another example of the peaceful social revolution we are experiencing, where ownership no longer makes much sense and what matters is immediate access to goods and services.
Even though the operating model of the Private Cloud has many advantages, Private Cloud also faces several challenges, especially in large companies that already have an IT department in which the technology director has already invested money and resources from the company to establish a data center.
In these cases, the Dedicated Cloud does not seem to make much sense and could even be considered a threat to the technology department. But at one point those systems will have to be renewed, and the CFO will be in a position to decide between spending again on infrastructure and payroll of dozens of employees, or delegate everything to the managed Private Cloud and forget the headache that represents the administration of an IT department.
No doubt for those startups that start, the Dedicated Cloud is the best option. It is because it allows them to focus on their business area and forget the hiring of personnel, systems management, payroll and other situations related to the implementation of an entire department of information management.
